Formerly singing backup with Poi Dog Pondering Robert Cornelius (nephew of the infamous Soul Train host Don Cornnelius) RC went out on his own to start a searing 7 piece rhythm & blues group called none other than Robert Cornelius 7. The tightest rhythm section in Chicago, RC7 is known for their soulful ballads and funky grooves. The band members have brought an amalgam of styles together with roots in Jazz, Gospel, Blues, Funk, and Rock. The best label to describe this band would be fun, fun, funky, fun.
