As the original writing sessions at the Willoughby living room-some with the wonderful Jenni-Mac, some with Loomis, Jack and Choco-produced a lot of the material we all dug, the actual group line-up eventually surfaced when Burdie officially assembled Choc, Jack and myself sometime in 2001 to record an early version of "How Lucky Am I" as a possible TV sit-com theme song for our friends. It was that demo which proved not only what we all knew all along-that we should form the group, but that it was obviously inevitable at that point.

The recording of the album commenced when Burdie brought home the Roaming Roland Digital Device (R2D2). And from April to November 2002 we recorded the album all over the place using material from the living room sessions and some of the previous collaborations we had done in the past, among other choice nuggets. Shortly after the record was done, that first show got booked. Since we had both a CD and a gig on the way, we started practicing regularly and have been playing shows in and out of town ever since.
